Liposomal Vitamin C NZ

The Importance of Taking Antioxidants

The body needs the support of many nutrients for its proper functioning. Food provides vitamins, minerals and amino-acids among others. Each one has a fundamental role, but antioxidants are considered the most important. C-pure will be of great help since it has a high concentration of vitamin C and also in a complete natural way: zero artificial colours and additives, zero sugars, sweeteners or aromas. Soy, gluten, dairy and yeast free; and vegan, keto and paleo friendly.

What are antioxidants and what do they protect us from?

Antioxidants are chemicals that try to balance free radicals, helping to stop or limit their damage so no more cells are injured. Their main objective is to protect and reverse the problems they cause, creating immunity.

A free radical is a molecule produced every day in our body as a result of the biological reactions that occur in cells. Free radicals are very reactive molecules, necessary to perform certain functions and maintain health. All of these reactions are necessary for cell life, but the production of free radicals over time can have negative effects as they alter cell membranes and genetic material (cell DNA).

Why is C-pure a great antioxidant?

C-pure contains vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid and is considered the most genuine of antioxidants. The human body, unlike other mammals, is unable to synthesize this vitamin and is forced to extract it in sufficient quantities through other methods. For this reason, vitamin C is classified as an essential nutrient as are omega 3 acids.

Their primary actions are the structural protection of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates, and above all they preserve the nucleic acids that make up DNA and RNA from oxidative stress. Without its action we would not be able to synthesize collagen and elastin, both components of extreme importance for the development and maintenance of blood vessels, tendons, bones and ligaments.
